What's included

A check-up and clean at Oracare covers:

• A comprehensive examination of your teeth, gums, bite and the soft tissues of your mouth
• X-rays where clinically indicated
• A scale and clean to remove plaque and tartar, then a polish
• A chat about anything you've noticed, and what we've found

If we find something that needs work, we explain it and quote it in writing. You decide what to go ahead with and when. More detail on our check-up and clean page.

How bring a friend works

1. Step 1
   Tell a friend. Someone who hasn't been to Oracare in the last two years. Grab a card from reception, or just give them our number.
2. Step 2
   They book, and mention your name. Online or by phone, any time in October. If you're already booked with us, they need to book before your appointment. If you're booking now too, they book first or at the same time as you.
3. Step 3
   You both pay $149. Without health-fund cover, each of you pays $149 at your own appointment instead of $179. Friends with cover are billed as usual, and eligible members typically pay no gap.

October check-up offer. $179 for a check-up and clean (a comprehensive examination, X-rays where clinically indicated, and a scale and clean) for patients aged 12 and over without health-fund cover, for appointments booked between 1 and 31 October 2026. New and existing patients. One per patient. Any further treatment is quoted in writing before it begins. Not redeemable for cash. Subject to appointment availability. Eligible health-fund members typically pay no gap, subject to their level of cover and remaining annual limit.

Bring a friend. A patient without health-fund cover who refers a new patient (someone who has not visited Oracare in the last two years) pays $149 for a check-up and clean instead of $179. A referred new patient without health-fund cover also pays $149; a referred new patient with cover is billed as usual (eligible health-fund members typically pay no gap). A patient may refer more than one friend; the referring patient's $149 applies to one check-up and clean. The friend must book between 4 and 31 October 2026, name the referring patient when booking, and book before the referring patient's appointment. The referring patient qualifies if their own booking was made before 4 October 2026, or if their friend booked first or at the same time. The $149 is charged at each person's own appointment; there are no refunds or credits for appointments already paid. Ages 12 and over. Not available for appointments funded by DVA or bulk-billed under the Child Dental Benefits Schedule. Not combined with any other offer.
