Children’s dentistry is critical because they are essentially mini adults, their baby teeth lays a foundation for their permanent teeth. Early dental visits allow us to monitor your child’s dental development and catch any potential problems before they escalate. It will also help them become accustomed to the dental environment making future visits more comfortable and less stressful. These visits also provide an opportunity for us to instil good oral hygiene habits and attitudes towards dental health.

The Child’s Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) is a government initiative in Australia designed to provide financial assistance to families for their children’s dental care.

It aims to cover part or all of the cost of basic dental services for eligible children between the ages of 2 and 17. It’s a fantastic initiative that has helped many families in Australia afford necessary dental care for their children.

The scheme provides up to $1,000 per child for dental services over two consecutive calendar years. It’s important to note that this benefit isn’t automatically renewed, and the eligibility needs to be confirmed each calendar year.
